Kinsie Tate
MDiv, MEd, LPCBiographical Info
“Struggle is a natural part of life, but there are times when the struggles faced can seem insurmountable and begin to interfere with relationships, jobs, and/or sense of self. In those times, therapy is a way to gain perspective, skills, and support, to help navigate the tough times. My goal is to help my clients find solutions, identify more effective ways to communicate, and develop skills to increase satisfaction and contentment.
My style is attachment based. I have training in Emotional Focused Therapy and strive to assist clients in understanding how current and past relationships impact them. I am also training in Trust Based Relational Intervention for parents who struggle with how to help their children who are struggling.
I am ordained clergy in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and my husband is United Methodist clergy, but appreciate that we are all created differently and experience life in a variety of ways. I will not bring up religion unless it is relevant to treatment.”
